First prayer here

My Father,

I am so surprised that this BlogSpot website is available under this name. How could I have been the first one to have thought of it? I was expecting to spend at least a couple of hours coming up with, and being rejected from, many different names.

You have been so very good to me. Everything is in comparison. I can compare myself to people who get everything in their life for very little trials, or those who don't get very much at all for their trials. But that's not what it's all about. You give us trials based on what we can handle. Sometimes we stagger under the load. You sent your son to help us with our staggering load. When we get so lost in our trials, we forget that part. We feel it is all on our shoulders. But Jesus, your beloved son, has a yoke to help us out, and will freely and unconditionally help us with our load. Sometimes it's hard to remember that because we are so embroiled in self-pity over problems that simply pale in comparison to others. But again, this has nothing to do with comparison. Everyone is different; everyone can handle different problems with the Lord's help.

I pray that you can help me help those who don't realize they can turn to Our Father and his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and help them diminish their problems. My daughter has been a very good experience in this arena, and I am so blessed that you trusted me with raising her.

Thank you so much for the many times you've helped me. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
